Is reimbursement for clothes purchased when your bag is lost for 2 weeks enough?
Am I being unreasonable? Hawaiian lost my wife's suitcase during a recent trip to the mainland. It was lost for several weeks until it finally made it back to our house long after we returned home. Instead of relaxing at the resort and her wearing all the outfits she had purchased just for this trip ( I thought it was a bit silly too but she really was stressed/ mad about it and it really put a damper on things.) we spent a lot of the trip clothes shopping, washing clothes, on hold with baggage services, then calling back trying to problem solve the luggage situation because on numerous occasions the hawaiian airlines employees kept screwing up or misinforming us. I did the whole save receipts deal. Called hawaiian, filed a claim and the lady I talked to when I started my claim sounded like it was understandable for me to ask for some compensation for the whole fiasco. She said to ask the adjuster that would review my receipts about some sort of compensation. Well the receipts got reviewed, confirmed and we got reimbursed but when I sent a follow up email last week pointing out all the numerous specific instances somebody screwed or misinformed us, context surrounding it, and asking for some miles or flight vouchers there hasn't been a response. I've been pualani gold/atmos silver for years too pretty loyal to this airline so for them to sort of be all "be happy we are reimbursing you gfy" is a bit frustrating. Do I just keep bugging them? send an email somewhere else? or just be happy they actually followed federal law and their contract of carriage?
