Would it have been better if Geto stayed and Kenjaku was scrapped
Now 2 things. 1. I'm sure this has been asked before so just let me know if it has and 2. Hear me out.
I've seen a lot of people talk about whether Geto's character is "wasted" and truthfully it isn't because his arc is done.
My problem is, why are we fine with Geto only having 1 arc. If Geto developed into the big bad I'm sure it would end up being too similar to other shonen but I have to wonder if sacrificing the potential of Geto was worth it.
You can hit me with the JJK reading comprehension thing all you want if this is blatantly wrong but I don't even think Geto's backstory needed to be specifically what it is for the grand plot to work. Hell Geto could've been a good guy in his backstory and at the end of the day Kenjaku will still steal his corpse and Gojo would still be shocked and trapped in the prison realm regardless of what Geto's backstory is. As long as Gojo and Geto were best friends, Gojo would be shocked.
TLDR: So this is really what I'm getting at because Geto's character as it is right now isn't wasted but his potential could have been incredibly impactful and I'm pretty sure Gege could pull it off. But now we have Kenjaku who is great in his own right but how Geto was handled overall just leaves a sout taste in my mouth.
