So when does this start to "kick in" or has it?

I tried to take my own life roughly 5 weeks ago. A week later after being transferred from the hospital to the state psychiatric center/stay. I was then put on 20 mg of prozac. I don't expect it to make me "happy all the time." But i am still rather gloomy all together and unhappy. I think one thing i've noticed is probably a propensity not to freak out as much as I usually would about things. But i'm wondering if there's a point on this ssri where you wake up and notice a more general feeling of contentment or whatever
