AIO my fiancé wants to make his parents full beneficiaries of his life insurance

For context, we both are doctors (28F, 33M). He makes 600K, and I will make similar when I am done training in a 4 years. No children rn, wedding is in 1 year. He financially takes care of his parents. His logic is that his parents will get fully taken care of, and I won't need any financial help. Very true, but I also feel like I just got told "im not family". I feel like my feelings are lowkey hurt, but I also agree w his statement so I don't know what to think. I am just bummed.
