Do I really need to nap train as well? I thought sleep training would help with naps too.
2 weeks into Ferber method of sleep training my 10.5 month old, he is sleeping through the night since day 3, but waking up early between 5:00 to 6:00 am (bed time around 7:45 to 8). His night sleep has progressed but his nap is still a crap. Lucky if he sleeps 1.5 hours during the day. Its usually 30 and 45 min of nap 1 &2. I let him fall asleep in my arm (no sushing or rocking) for the naps and then transfer to crib. But during the sleep cycle transitions, he will wake up and start screaming, it is not a happy wake up.
So, for the people who sleep trained at night what did you do with the naps? Do I need to do ferber method to make his nap better? Also, holding him during the day and not at night will confuse him?
