“Demo unit” iPhone 14 Pro

I bought a 14pro on ebay w the model number starting "3L" i saw it means demo like confirmed by imei checkers but my question is is it legit as in legally bought not stolen? it says "valid purchase date sep 2022" which is release day so why is it marked demo? it works fine factory resets fine calls (cellular) and wifi is fine iemi is not blocked. why does it say demo unit if it also says "valid purchase date" is it a demo that was legit sold not stolen or a mistake on demo marking? it also says expired warranty paid available assuming demos cant get warranty nor is it stolen afaik. I set it up just fine w my icloud and everything. no settings marking thats alerting
