Will be getting 250k to invest, what should I buy?

I’m 28 years old, work full time in tech. No specific retirement goals or hard targets, I just want to be neither too conservative nor too risky

I’m getting 250k in inheritance from my grandfather, which I plan on investing in dividend stocks/funds. I want to diversify, not just across companies but also segments (I.e some domestic, some foreign, some safe ones like KO and some riskier ones like REIT’s)

Any suggestions / advice would be much appreciated
