Need Urgent help 😭

Hi everyone, I need urgent advice regarding Class 11 😭admission in a Delhi Government school (SBV No.1 Tilak Nagar).

My Situation:🥲

10th Results: I passed 10th in 2025 with 70+ in Maths, 52 in Science, and 55%+ aggregate.

The Gap: I took admission in 11th Commerce last year (2025-26) but didn't attend school or give any exams due to personal reasons. I am treating this as a gap year.

The Problem: I now want to take Science with Maths for the 2026-27 session. I meet the official DoE eligibility criteria (50% in Science/Math, 55% aggregate).

The Obstacle: My school says they have seats, but they are refusing to admit me into Science because I was 'previously a Commerce student.' They are also saying they don't have Science labs/teachers in this specific branch (even though a nearby school does).

Questions for you:

Since I have a gap year, can the school force me to stay in Commerce? Am I not a 'fresh' applicant for 11th grade?

How do I process a 'Stream Change Transfer' to a nearby school that does have Science?

Should I go to the DDE office in Karampura? If yes, who should I meet there to get this resolved?

Has anyone successfully changed from Commerce to Science while repeating 11th after a gap year?

I have my 10th marksheet and am ready to get a Gap Year Affidavit. Any advice on the exact procedure or who to contact at the Directorate of Education (DoE) would be a lifesaver. Thanks!"
