Senior Thesis on Origin of Doubts

I am a Senior History (and Political Science) major writing my senior thesis on the origins of distrust that Oswald was a lone actor, that the federal government could be trusted to investigate, and that the Warren Commission is true.

Basically, what contradictory facts were found immediately following the assassination, who discovered them, and how did the general public find out so there was widespread distrust?

Any recommendations for sources would be great! I have a plethora of Life magazines (physical copies) which I am using for how the general public found out. May assistance would be wonderful!

I’m not focusing on the conspiracies. Just how information spread to create the vast distrust we see today.
