Crush 80 beta "sleeping" keys?

This feels like a bug and not a feature. Straight out of the box I have a handful of keys that seem to go to sleep until they're pressed 2-3 times in a row. The main typing keys are fine (letters, numbers, function keys, enter, etc) but all of the auxiliary keys: Print, Scroll, Pause, Insert, Home, PgUp/DN, End, Del, Tab, Cap Lock, Shift, Ctrl, and Alt seem to have this bug. After I use one of the keys and press it a few times to "wake" it, usually the whole section will work. For example, if I hit Pause 2-3x to wake it, it will wake the whole section of those keys and they'll all work for a while until they sleep again. Is this by design for some reason?

I'm in wired low latency mode using the cable it came with and plugged directly into the motherboard.
