Accidently used my Walgreens rewards on my first shopping order.....

I took my first shopping order today, and mindlessly put my rewards number in. Then the cashier kept asking all these questions about donating to charity, I said no, then was asked for some other round up to the nearest dollar for something else. So I finally just said, 'no this is a doordash order".

and in front of another customer - it was late...so the only other customer and other cashier....this cashier starts yelling at me very aggressively and loudly, "YOU CANT USE YOUR REWARDS WHEN YOURE DOORDASHING!!!!".

I told her it was my first shopping order and I didn't know, and I told her to delete it. she said she couldn't, then proceeded to be a jerk to me after making a scene.

She kept making me swipe my Red Card, it would prompt to pin, and she kept telling me to press the yellow back button to reswipe. and she kept getting frustrated with me. I assumed she was having an issue with her system so I patiently waited.

until she pressed credit on the screen next to put in pin.

I was confused, as it was my first time using my Red Card, so I told theres a pin, i was just waiting because i thought there was something wrong.

Then she just upsetting tells, "well I didnt know there was a pin".

its literally 0000 - could have pressed credit, but it kept prompting for a pin, inwas ready.

anyways....im traumatized. 😂😂

I contacted support after i delivered the order and was rest assured I was going to be okay and not to worry about it. It is against the contract to use rewards, but was told its rarely means for deactivation, especially on accident on my first shopping order. The only thing to look out for is if the rewards altered the price the customer paid. Like, discounted something. I dont know if it did or not....Oops.

it was 10PM, I called it for the night after that.

I was already stressed because earlier I got a cash order, when I swore I shut it off, so I didn't have change and had no idea what to do. it was $4 they needed back - ultimately they just gave it as a tip. but i was freaking ojt because i couldn't contact support right away. i contacted them about it when i got home though. I know what to do now.

I really need this gig, and I dont want keep messing up. today felt like a lot of mistakes...even if it was only the 2, but both feel like a big deal or a potential deactivation. im told not to worry.

anyone else get yelled at in public and a scene was made? Jesus christ that was rough...
