Architecture grad + Master’s in Urban & Regional Planning - what kind of jobs can I explore ?
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to figure out my next career move and it will help me much from all you're advice.
I did my Bachelor’s in Architecture and with 1 yr experience, so I’ve seen how large-scale projects function in real-world practice. After that, I completed my Master’s (Urban and Regional Planning) from a national-level college.
Now I’m a bit confused about what kind of roles I should actually be targeting.
I don’t necessarily want to restrict myself to pure architectural design practice not planning. I’m open to exploring areas like real estate development, infrastructure projects, project management, consulting, sustainability roles, research, strategy-based roles, or anything that moves beyond just not only designing buildings or preparing statutory plans.
What job titles should I search for?
Which industries usually value this combination?
Are there specific skills I should build to move into better roles?
Thanks in advance!
