Why do Jehovah’s Witnesses seem to think their religion is growing and not stagnant?
Is it delusion? Anyone who has been in the western world can assure you that most assemblies and conventions typically don’t have a large baptismal presence (notably over the years it has continued to either be relatively young born-ins or roped in older converts who are gaining a community) and all of the statistics prove that the religion is not really making an impact on the global scene. The most growth has still been in lesser developed places like Africa which likely will decrease as advances in technology continue over the next few years. Do they really buy into the paltry growth that the governing body parades (aka moving goalposts and redefining their successes) what is it that has them buy into not facing reality? True the religion won’t die anytime soon but it’s painfully obvious the glory days are gone
