Some question mark item appeared while I was fishing and I have no idea what it is

I didn't take a picture because it was so fast, but while fishing with the super rod I got a question mark item in a tresure. I didn't find anything in the item selection or my Pokemon or even my boat decorations. Did this do something or is it supposed to be some kind of placeholder?
