Weather in March end/First week of april

Hi everyone, I am planning a trip to Southern Thailand (Krabi/Phuket) in the first week of April. I have been checking the forecast and it’s showing some light showers, but I know forecasts this far out aren’t very reliable.

I’ve also read on different posts on the internet that March and early April are typically very hot, with occasional thunderstorms. Heat isn’t an issue for me, but I’m trying to understand what the rain is usually like around that time.

Should I expect rain throughout the day, or is it more like short, passing showers? Any insights from people who’ve visited during early April would really help. Thanks!
