Is MAGA largely just a reincarnation of the Tea Party movement, or are there significant differences between the two?

I study sociology and political history of the US and have observed many similarities between MAGA and the Tea Party movement from 2008-2014. Both movements advocate for:

  • Reduced nonwhite immigration, particularly immigration from Latin America and Muslim majority countries
  • Opposition to LGBTQ+ rights
  • Reducing taxes on the upper and upper middle classes
  • Increasing domestic production of food and manufactured goods
  • Establishing Christianity as the dominant religion of the country while also supporting Zionism

Is MAGA basically "Tea Party 2.0" or are there significant and tangible differences between the two ideologies? If there are significant differences, what made the Tea Party collapse in favor of MAGA?
