Is it possible to frog the starting rows without ruining the project?

row question

Basically, I’m making a blanket with garter stitch and I want to remove a few rows from the beginning (I used the wrong color). I don’t want to start the entire project over, which is the only alternative I can think of considering its the first 4 rows that are wrong.

Is it possible to frog in reverse? Like, remove the first 4 rows of the project? I know that’ll probably leave the yarn loose to unravel, so would I just do some kind of bind off there to fake the cast on? Does that even work in reverse like that?

If no one knows, I’ll probably make a test square with some scrap yarn and see what happens when I try. But I wanted to ask here first in case anyone has a tutorial to share, or firsthand knowledge. I tried to google it but couldn’t find anything that explained how to do what I’m talking about.
