I suffer from really bad OCD and anxiety. Can someone tell me if I’ve done everything properly?
I constantly worry about whether I’ve done everything perfectly. Reading about rate evasion and denied claims gives me so much anxiety.
I moved. So this is what I did:
-
Notified the DMV. I changed my mailing address and residential address to the new address.
-
I paid the DMV for a new license showing my new address, although I could’ve just held onto the old one.
-
I also changed my address on my car’s registration to match the new address. This is the only car I own and the only car on my policy.
-
I then immediately went on the GEICO app and updated my mailing and garage address to my new address.
Did I leave anything out? I keep feeling like I forgot something. The GEICO app said that my premium will not change after the updated address. I’ve read horror stories of people getting demands for proof of residency and given only 2 days to comply, etc.
Because my premium did not change, probably due to only having moved 6 miles within the same state and city, is it likely GEICO won’t ask me for anything else? Did I do everything right?
