Extremely elevated d-dimer test results

hi everyone, I currently have covid. yesterday I went to the doctor and test results showed an elevated d-dimer reading of > 20 ug/ml with the minimum supposed to be < 0.5 ug/ml. my doctor is not picking up my calls and he didnt say anything about these test results. should I go to the er? it is nighttime right now but I am only 22 and male
