Any tips for undergraduate exchange students towards UCSC? I am CS major.

Hello!

I am a senior student from KAIST, South Korea.
I just nominated to UCSC as an exchange student at 26 Fall semester.
(I still have some steps for final decision, but does not really matter.)

Here, I want to ask some tips to stay as an exchange student!

Anything is okay, but especially in the sense of research:

- I want to contact a laboratory, in the field of ML/CV, especially video understanding. Is there candidates that are actively publishing top tier papers?
- I consider one of the advantages of UCSC is that the Bay Area is nearby. Is there any chance that I can experience some sort of seminars, networking, etc.?

I wish to make this exchange period as valuable as possible.
