Alright y’all. I went through the search results for this post title and didn’t see what I’m looking for. I need backyard enrichment ideas/recs for my 16mo spayed GSD/Husky Daisy, pictured in her Pride Rock stance.

My backyard is around a quarter acre. It’s varied in topography, basically it’s got the works. Suffice it to say, my girl has fully established her race track. It’s muddy and breaking down. I’ve accepted that part, no issues or worries.

The issue is she’s getting bored being outside for multiple hours a day so she’s digging a ton on a slope in the yard to the point that the slope is becoming unstable, sometimes digs along the fence line, and is chewing/destroying anything she can get her paws on. She’s chewed up at least a dozen solar lamps I had staked around the rock wall, ripped to shreds a tarp we’ve got on the ground to prep some grass-to-gravel area, repeatedly taken and chewed on the grill brush, started shredding a padded lawn chair, even chewed on the leg of a plastic chaise lounge. She completely demolished a massive slow-fill water bowl. She’s ripping into a huge bag of soil. We’re losing our minds with the destruction.

She’s got her deeply beloved squeaky ball and Jolly Pets soccer ball, along with a few other random toys she leaves scattered around. She goes absolutely bonkers for the squeaker and soccer ball, & has access to them all day. But she’s destroying everything else.

I’m a teacher so I’m gone 6:30-3 daily. My husband’s basically an independent contractor in construction so his schedule is flexible. He plays with her a bunch before going to a job site for a few hours/no longer than around 5, then home. He does some training with her, and I usually take her for a walk when I get home.

Please give me any recommendations you have for anything we could set up for her. We’re open to anything.
