Why We Spent 5+ Years Developing a Supima & S((Keeping this as surprise for launch)) Cotton T-Shirt Before Launching (Slow Fashion, Built to Last)

Most clothing brands start with a launch date.

We started with a question:

What if men’s clothing was built to last — not just physically, but morally?

For over five years, we didn’t sell a single product.

No drops.
No hype cycles.
No influencer seeding.

We studied fabric.

We researched Supima cotton, sourced rare S(Keeping this as surprise for launch) cotton, experimented with sustainable fibers, tested GSM weights, and washed our samples repeatedly to measure:

  1. Color retention
  2. Shrinkage control
  3. Stitch durability
  4. Fabric drape after multiple washes
  5. Long-term wear comfort

We gave garments to real people and asked for brutal feedback.
Again.
And again.
And again.

Because we refused to release something ordinary.

Why We Delayed Our Launch

In a world obsessed with fast fashion and rapid drops, we chose patience.
We adjusted:

  1. 200 GSM vs 280 GSM builds
  2. Single jersey knit vs structured cotton fleece
  3. Dye behavior across wash cycles
  4. Shrink tolerance percentages
  5. Fiber length performance (especially with S(Keeping this as surprise for launch))

If the product wasn’t ready, we delayed.

Not because we couldn’t launch.

But because it wasn’t worthy of trust yet.

What We’re Building
NuMENSCH™ is built on one belief:

Clothing should survive real life.

It should:

  1. Survive repeated washing
  2. Hold its color
  3. Resist shrinkage
  4. Maintain structure
  5. Feel better over time

We are not chasing trends.
We are engineering essentials.
This is slow fashion with measurable durability.

Why Supima & Suvin?
We chose:

Supima cotton → For strength, smoothness, and long-staple fiber durability.

S(Keeping this as surprise for launch) cotton → For rarity, ultra-soft hand feel, and premium fiber length.
Linen & structured cotton fleece → For breathability and longevity.

We didn’t choose them because they sound premium.
We chose them because they performed under testing.

What NuMENSCH™ Means

“MENSCH” means a person of integrity — someone who does the right thing even when no one is watching.

That’s the standard we’re building around.
This isn’t about status.
It’s about standards.

Why Post This Now?

We’re preparing to launch.

Later than most brands would.

But stronger than most brands do.

If you care about:

  1. Long lasting men’s clothing
  2. Premium cotton t-shirts that don’t shrink
  3. Sustainable menswear in the USA
  4. Quality over hype

I’d love feedback from this community.

What frustrates you most about modern t-shirts?
Color fade?
Shrinkage?
Poor stitching?
Thin fabric?

Let’s build something that actually lasts.
