Do I need a sense of mission regarding your business to do a startup?
I am a college freshman currently working on my first startup. I am developing an AI-driven game generation product that I find quite interesting. However, I have realized that I do not have a deep sense of belief in the product itself.
The reason I chose to start a business is that I often fantasize about where I will be in the long run. For example, I imagine being able to exit in five years and achieve a significant financial gain. I do not feel a strong sense of mission toward my product. Instead, I value:
-
The personal growth that the process of entrepreneurship provides.
-
The opportunities that starting a business creates.
-
The potential financial rewards.
Is this mindset normal? If it is normal, is it still possible to be successful with this approach?
