Coloring wax?

I’m working on a very specific project and all of the wax that I have for it is red. I’m looking into getting some lighter colored wax (but part of the concept of the project is that the wax needs to be from a cheese casing - so that’s complicating things). Anyway, does anyone have any tips or ideas for dying/painting/coloring wax that is already colored red? I need to make white, blue, green, and orange balls of wax for this project. I’ve tried alcohol ink, but it’s not opaque enough, and I’ve tried acrylic paint, but it cracks and doesn’t apply smoothly and evenly. Any ideas are appreciated!
