Seeking a documentary-style wedding cinematographer

Discussion

Hi everyone,

I’m getting married in Madhya Pradesh [Feb 2027] and I’m looking for a wedding cinematographer whose style is honest, documentary-driven, and emotionally real. The groom is based out of Ahmedabad, and I’m from MP - so this wedding is very rooted in family, traditions, and two homes coming together. It’s important to us that the emotions, interactions, and in-between moments are captured as they truly unfold.

We are drawn to films that feel intimate and unscripted stolen glances, nervous smiles, family reactions, imperfect laughter, quiet pauses. I want someone who observes rather than directs too much. Most importantly, I want a film that I can watch 30 years from now and still feel deeply connected to - something timeless that lets me relive the emotions, not the editing trends.

Not looking for:

•	Heavy transitions

•	Overused slow motion

•	Dramatic “Bollywood trailer” edits

•	Random cinematic gimmicks

I prefer natural setting, authentic audio, raw emotions, and storytelling that feels timeless rather than trendy.

If you’ve worked with someone in MP (or someone open to traveling) who truly captures raw emotion and subtle moments, please share their website/ Insta ID or page.

Would love thoughtful recommendations. Thank you😊
