Is it worth staying in Rincon And Luquillo?

Hi! My partner and I are planning a week-long trip to Puerto Rico and would love some advice. We don’t drink and aren’t really interested in nightlife. We’re more focused on beautiful beaches and having a good Puerto Rican experience. However, safety is definitely our top priority.

We’re considering renting a car and splitting the week between Rincón and Luquillo. Luquillo appeals to us because we definitely want to visit El Yunque, but we’ve also heard such amazing things about Rincón.

Do you think splitting the trip between the two is worth it? Or would you recommend staying primarily in one area? I’d really appreciate any thoughts or insight!
