Not at all

17"+
Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.
Gaming, mostly WoW, but whatever else strikes my fancy too
If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?
1080p, 60Hz, max settings as I want the laptop to last at least a few years
Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?
Good backlit keyboard, Numpad
Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.
I'm just going to add what I originally wrote before seeing the form lol, some will be repetative but I think it would be best so I don't forget anything:
Big price range I know, but I am looking for something that will last for gaming for years, have the money and don't wan't to cheap out only to have to buy another laptop in a year or 2. I know the everyday stuff at $1k+ will be fine pretty much til the thing dies a natural death.
Gaming is mostly WoW, but other random games too so want something with a good CPU for WoW but also graphics good enough for high end games. With that info I know everything else I do will be fine.
required:
-
17"+
-
numpad (think that's a given at 17"+ ... but just in case)
-
backlit keyboard (prefer not red and can be dimmed to preference, color options a plus)
-
HDMI port
-
3+ USB c ports
-
Windows 11 (home is fine)
-
dedicated GPU
Don't care about:
-
weight
-
speaker quality (I use earbuds)
-
AMD/Intel, whatever is better atm
I obviously don't know what's best for CPU, RAM, GPU these days or I wouldn't be here, but for a long term laptop the more the better :).
Ample disc space for games and storage. My music alone is 285GB. Would really like 2 drives but I can live with one big one. I currently have 1TB and 500GB and they're both almost full so probably at least double if not triple that cause there's a lot of games I've installed and removed when I want to play them in spurts.
Thanks!
