New barista

hi i got offer for barista at starbucks and i have never done a barista job before, my main worry is the cashier because im kinda stupid with math, do they make you be on cashier and how long is the training process for it? or is it optional? i have no problem with any other station just worrying about the money makes me edgy if i mess up or anything.
