I (16F) want to buy my boyfriend (18M) AirPods but I’m worried he’ll feel guilty

My boyfriend (18M) and I (16F) have been dating for about a month. He’s very sweet and always takes care of me, for example, he carries my backpack to ALL my classes and often pays for my food when we go out.

Recently he got fined $250 and doesn’t currently have a job. Before that, he was talking about saving up to buy AirPods that cost around $100. I receive a monthly stipend and have some extra money available, so I was thinking about buying them for him as a one-month anniversary gift.

I’m financially more comfortable than he is, and I don’t want him to feel guilty or embarrassed if I buy them for him. He does spend money on me in smaller ways, like paying for meals.

Would it be okay to buy them, or could that create an awkward dynamic this early in the relationship?
