I’m a motion designer, not a "prompt engineer." When I see most AI videos, what bothers me isn't the AI itself, but the lack of intention—the generic "plastic" look, the random pacing, the absence of human art direction.

For this Kentaro Miura / Berserk concept, I wanted to prove that **AI should strictly be treated as a rendering engine**, while the aesthetics, rhythm, and storytelling must remain 100% human-controlled.

**⚙️ The "Human-First" Workflow:**

* **The Anchors (Art Direction first):** I didn't let the AI guess the composition. I generated the base frames locally (FLUX/SDXL) using highly restricted prompts and ControlNet (Canny/Depth). I forced the AI to obey strict minimalist, high-contrast monochrome design principles.
* **Motion as a Tool, Not a Gimmick:** I used Kling/Veo for Image-to-Video, but I pushed the motion parameter almost to zero. I didn't want the AI to hallucinate wild movements. I only needed subtle environmental ambiance (ash, wind, slow zooms) to serve the tension of the edit.
* **The Real Magic is Post-Production:** It all came together in Premiere Pro & After Effects. The rhythm of the video isn’t AI—it’s strict cut-to-beat audio-syncing. The texture isn’t AI—it’s hand-applied 35mm film grain, custom graphic overlays, and aggressive color-grading to crush the blacks.

AI generated the pixels, but the newsletter, the pacing, and the vibe are mine. Curious to hear what other motion designers think about this approach to workflow!
