90 minute connection in LHR

My wife and I are trying to book a trip this summer with our 2 year old. We are working on our flight back from CDG and currently booked through LHR (It is a BA flight). Our current connection time is 90 minutes in but our LHR to US leg is also on BA. I’m not overly concerned with our bags making it, just us.

How terrible of an idea is it to book that flight/risk the right connection? Just want to hear some input and be talked out of this if it’s a terrible idea.
