How did Azir get 2nd at Nanjing?

Any thoughts on how Azir managed to get 2nd at Nanjing, given how weak he seemed at Bologna? I've also tried the decklist and there are some okay matchups, but Draven and Kaisa seem abysmal, so not really sure how it is possible to even make top cut, let alone get top 2.
