Navigating college while undiagnosed & untreated?
Is there any good advice for handling college while you’re struggling with an undiagnosed and untreated condition?
Without going into detail, this interferes with my ability to handle longer days (I feel myself needing to sleep after 2-3 hours of classes), causes issues when I walk short distances to classes (quarter mile), causes disruptions during lectures — like leaving class to throw up. Depending on the day I can feel very sore or have pain that makes it harder to focus as well.
If I rest, I risk putting myself behind. If I push myself, I’ll crash and still fall behind. It is a lose-lose situation.
The lack of a diagnosis makes the likelihood of receiving accommodations & support relatively slim. I can’t find much relief from my symptoms without any treatment plan.
Has anyone else been in this situation before? Is there any good ways I can push through for this semester?
