AITAH for not answering my husband’s questions?

Sorry this is long 🫠. I (f32) am married to a wonderful man (36). He’s hardworking, empathetic, and loyal. We have a great relationship and 90% of the time great communication with each other, but every now and then he’ll ask what I would consider a silly question.

A snippet of context…ex #1 He’ll ask where something is before looking for it or ask where something is when it has gone in the same spot for 5+ years. I have started answering with “where does it normally go?” And he’ll answer correctly and I’ll ask him if he’s checked there and he’ll answer “no” and he’ll get annoyed or angry that I don’t just answer the question. Ex #2 we have a shared calendar AND I remind him verbally that we have plans and he still will ask me 2-3x what we’re doing, when and where. After the 2nd or 3rd time, I tell him to check the calendar and he gets mad. Ex #3 I’ll give him a short to do list and he’ll still forget to do things and ask what needs to be done and when I refer him to the written list, he gets mad. Ps 90% of the time he asks questions like this, I’m doing multiple things around the house and he’s usually not doing anything at the time, so I get impatient and according to him, I have an attitude so I’m the problem.

Just tonight, we had an argument about the same issue. We get our food meal prepped for us - meat, sides, protein shakes, smoothies etc. And he’s very, very particular about his food and has a very strict diet. I only eat some of the meat that’s prepped. I eat well, but I’m not on a strict diet and I rarely take any of his shakes or smoothies etc. He asked me “do you think I should get more food prepped?” I told him “that’s kind of a question you should answer since you’re very particular about your food. How are we on meat? Do you have enough shakes or smoothies or sides?” His answer was “no, I’m out of literally everything.” And he shook his head and said “I’m just trying to communicate with you. I just won’t ask you questions any more. And the more you have an attitude and don’t answer questions, we’re just going to communicate less and less.”

Ofc I get pissed off because…. Now he’s mad at me and obviously this was a question that didn’t need to be asked. He could have made the executive decision. And no, I don’t get mad at him for making decisions. If I want something done a certain way, I will specify that and the reason why it has to be done that way. After he said that tonight I pressed him and asked why he’s asking questions he knows the answer to. “Is it because you have decision fatigue and need me to jump in?” His response, “no”. “Is it because you think I’ll get mad if you make the wrong decision?” Him, “no”. I asked him a few more questions and let him know I’m really trying to get to the bottom of this because he’s pissed that I don’t answer questions and I’m equally as pissed that my chores and/or relaxation time get constantly interrupted by questions I believe can be easily answered by him. And during this conversation tonight he’s cold and brushing me off and somewhat ignoring me, prompting me to ask the questions more than once. I even asked him to empathize with me and put himself in my shoes. Would that be annoying for him?…he can never answer that question. We haven’t made up and this is a reoccurring argument. So, AITAH? Should I just answer all of his questions? Men, (be nice to me please) but if you can empathize with him, why could he be doing this constantly? If you can help me understand, I can empathize. If I can empathize, we probably won’t have a problem anymore even if he can’t empathize with me.
