Lost 3 Years After BCA. Need Brutally Honest Advice on WHAT TO DO NEXT...
I completed my BCA in 2023, and by this year my academic gap will reach almost 3 years. This wasn’t planned I spent this time confused, overthinking, and trying to figure out the right direction.
Now I want to make a clear, long-term decision instead of drifting.
I’m considering doing an MCA from a good college (NIT / VIT / top institutes) to improve my qualifications and using those 2 years seriously building skills, projects, internships, and job readiness. But I’m stuck on a few things:
- Will this 3-year gap still hurt my placement chances after MCA?
- Is MCA a smart recovery move or just a way to delay reality?
- Would it be better to skip MCA and directly focus on skills, certifications, and job hunting?
I know I’m in a bad position right now, and I take responsibility for it. I genuinely want to fix my direction and move forward. If someone has been through something similar or works in tech or recruitment, I’d really appreciate honest guidance on what I should do next.
