Landlord asking us to pay property tax – is this right?
We’ve been living in our rented flat for about 1.5 years, and our second rent agreement expires this June. Recently, a property tax notice came, and now the landlord is asking us to pay the property tax.
We already pay electricity and gas bills directly. Society maintenance is included in our rent, and the owner pays it from the rent amount.
Is it legal or normal for a landlord to ask tenants to pay property tax? I’m not sure whether anything about property tax is mentioned in our rent agreement.
