Rewatching and reacting to AJ
Ok so I’m currently on my fourth rewatch and I’m in season 6. I just finished the episode where the criminal mastermind AJ Soprano goes to the nursing home/ psychiatric ward to enact his plan of vengeance upon his sinister Uncle Junior.
When Tony bails him out of jail and lays into him about how lucky he is that Tony had connections because the fallout could have been far worse, AJ brings up a very famous scene from the Godfather, in the analogy AJ uses he somewhat equates his attempted actions with those of Michael Corleone
I have always found AJ to be a very annoying crybaby with minimal intelligence however this was the first time that I put myself in Tony’s shoes.
I imagine Tony thinking to himself while AJ makes his Godfather reference that my son is no Michael I got a Fredo.
Then I actually compared them and honestly I think AJ makes Fredo look like Carlo Gambino. I know in earlier seasons he was tested for possible learning
I think that they missed something during his testing because he makes Christopher and Polly look like intellectual Giants in comparison disability and I believe he was diagnosed with ADHD I believe that they must’ve missed something’s because he makes Christopher and Pauly look like intellectual giants in comparison I don’t think I’ve ever seen another fictional character is inept as him
