Batch vs Streaming — do most companies really need streaming?

Streaming feels cool and modern, but:

• How many companies truly need sub-second data?
• Is micro-batch good enough for most use cases?
• When does Kafka actually become necessary?

I feel like a lot of teams adopt streaming because it sounds advanced.
