The market for abducted women has been thriving for millennia. So long as there are ditzy dames willing to believe a fast-talking authority figure, there have been successful traders in female flesh. It's easier than fishing- you can often convince your prey to jump right into your clutches.

Parked here on a road -just- remote enough to escape notice is a semi-truck with an open container and an array of official-looking tents and vehicles. Men and women (my employees) mill about in hazmat suits, writing down information on clipboards.

Every car that drives by is stopped, and told that dangerous radioactivity was reported in the area. The hazmatted "scientists" wave plastic wands around a bit here. Most people who drive by- families, men, mixed groups- are told that nothing was detected, and waved by without further incident. Promising prospects- that is, marketable women alone or in groups- are given a shrill beep from the phony instruments and told that they must undergo decontamination at once, if they want any hope of survival.

Even the smartest woman rarely has any common sense. At this panic-inducing command, they invariably follow our staff to the tents for processing. Obediently, they strip off every stitch of clothing to shower off the "deadly radiation" as we gather their clothes and identification up for destruction. From there, it's comically easy to immobilize the acquisition, quickly gag and bag her, and toss her into the truck to be transported to sale. By the time any cops come by, we'll have burned the vehicles we used for the stop and driven our abductee's vehicles to chop shops for recycling.

After that, it's just a quick drive across the border before payday.
