DOS 1 or DOS 2?

I saw, that DOS 2 and BG 3 are often compared, but what about DOS 1 and DOS 2? What's the difference between the games? Which part is better and why? I played Original Sin 1 and Baldur's Gate 3, but never Original Sin 2.
