Twitter Account Suspension

There have been several posts about account suspensions and theories on why it happens, and while there are a plethora of potential reasons, sometimes there are no reasons at all. My situation being one of them.

For context, my account has been private for roughly 6-8 months now because I was taking a break. The last time I posted anything was a month before locking my account. I have not interacted with any account in over 3 months. No account had interacted with a post I made in over 2 months. I would switch over to the profile to just keep up with what’s been going on or out of boredom/curiosity but that’s all.

While I do plan on appealing the suspension, starting over is also on the table of possibility. It’s really a shame because it’s a following I amassed over 5 years or so, and took a lot of work. But with so many changes and uncertainty during this time, I understood it was bound to happen whether I did anything or not.

Just wanted to share my experience, and let others know it’s always in the realm of possibility!
