DIY black stain

I inherited several kilo of cobalt and some other stuff from another potter. I'm not so interested in cobalt blue glazes, but I frequently make black porcelain for slip casting and it is just so expensive since I use 10% stain to get the deepest black. does anyone have a diy recipe for making your own black stain, perhaps even one that works with porcelain bodies?
