Please help im going insane

Okay I HATE HATE HATE this crimson spread and I just spent hours and all my money trying to destroy all of the crimson, and I guess I missed some cuz it won't stop spreading. I play on xbox with my significant other ans we are both noobs at terreria, I saw that there was a Drill containment Unit After the game last boss, but we just want to stop the spread if anyone can let me borrow or has a spare. I just want to play slow and with the spread its impossible. If anyone can bless me. And save my sanity please. Idk how else to ask I won't to destroy the crimson our of existence
