Do you agree with the following statement about life?

“life… [should be] serious, austere, and religious; all its manifestations are poised in a world sustained by moral forces and subject to spiritual responsibilities. [One should] disdain… an “easy" life”

By the way, religion in the context of this quote doesn’t mean following a religion Abrahamic or not but rather treating life as serving a higher cause.
