Instead of Longacres stadium, Lumen Field rebuild?

Been mulling over this one for a while and would like to you know what you guys think.

Sounders need their own stadium to financially stay afloat, but moving to Longacres seems like a bad thing for fans. Less accessible by public transit, less fun things to do downtown. And the city needs the sports stadiums downtown -- they bring a lot of foot traffic to businesses in the area, in a time when office spaces are at an all time vacancy high.

Seattle owns the land that Lumen field is built on. Lumen field is getting old.

Why not just demo Lumen and Wamu and build a soccer specific stadium and a football stadium side by side? City can probably figure out a way to make it a financially profitable endeavor for them, the Sounders get to keep being downtown, and Seattleites would have one of the greatest urban sports campuses in the USA.

I did my best to measure out the sizes of everything and made a mockup using google maps, just to show that a soccer specific stadium like Energizer Park (St. Louis City) could easily fit beside Lumen, if you moved it over and got rid of the parking, which, let's be honest, can't bring more than 5% of the fans to the game anyway.

What do you guys think?
