First playthrough

hello all this is my first time playing Oblivion (I'm 42) and just wanted to share something I figured out today. So this may not be news to some, but I figured other people like me could use the hint. Anyway we all know that when we go to jail they take all our stolen goods, well I may have a way to keep them . Now I know there are evidence chests you can loot to get it back, but I wanted to try something else. So I had a bounty (I murdered a dude) and didn't want to lose my mace and bow. So I went to Weyon Priory, put them in the chest, then purposely got arrested. Anyway, I went back and got them after being released, and tested my theory. I walked right up to several guards, and they didn't say shit. Now I get my free stuff and get to collect more 😂
