Building The Ultimate EV9 Camper! Suggestions?
Hello fellow EV9 owners!
I'm currently building out my 2024 as a moving generator/SUV camper - all for under $600. I just hit the $350 mark of the budget. I'll make sure to post pictures and an item list once we're ready for an excursion. In the meantime, I need your help/suggestions!
Everything we've done so far has been for cost efficiency, least environmental impact, and to have the SUV be a stealth sleeper (meaning that it looks like just a normal, unassuming EV9 from the outside). I've already purchased a portable bathroom/shower, coolers, storage, other cooking/cleaning supplies, personal care items, quick dry camping towels, heated blankets, sheets, a comfortable bed, and everything else we'd need. My spouse and our small dog all fit comfortably and happily in the space so far.
What we're hoping to get input on are mini fridges and microwaves that you all have used, as well as using the EV9 as a generator. While we're familiar with the amazing feature of Utility Mode, which keeps the cabin at whatever temperature we want while controlling the air quality (and has only used 1% of the battery per hour), we're not familiar with running appliances on the car yet. We're hoping to use a surge protector on the interior 125v plug, and use it to run a mini fridge and mini microwave as needed. When we say mini, we mean mini. We only want to have the mini fridge for a couple of small items if we absolutely need it - the small microwave is the most desirable aspect for us. What has worked for you?
Also, if any of you have done a similar build, we'd love to see what you've done! Thanks for reading!
