Is updating your partner necessary?

28/F, currently in a relationship, not too long tbh, weeks to be exact. We are not the same when it comes to time, he is in a graveyard shift l, so basically i'm just asking for an update while i was asleep. He keeps doing things i don't like to the point that I feel unheard because he keeps forgetting to tell me what he is doing when i am not around nor asleep. I just want to be inform while i'm not around tbh. Is this petty for a new relationship we are building together? Do I need to dismiss this one and be the bigger person? Am i needy?

Any thoughts about this? Tysm!!!
