to be desired or to be pure.
Wide-eyed jezebel
Watched as her innocence
Dissolved into sea foam
On her now mellow and ripe body.
Seventeen candles, feigning damsel
There is a reason for everything you do.
It trembles, lonely legs,
prayers foreign to
This body starved for desire.
Lustful daughter, playful thing.
Carbon Venus, you mislead us.
Wide-eyed jezebel, don’t act surprised,
You put on an act we surmise.
Strip yourself down
Through prayers and light,
and return back to foam.
note: hii, i'm sort of new to writing poetry, and i'd really like feedback on my poem. it's a poem about desire, innocence, and growing up, and it is very personal to me.
