Is anyone's portfolio actually doing well right now?

I've only been properly stock picking for my portfolio(s) for the last 6-7 months as I've mainly used ETFs and funds over the decades. starting in August 2025. it was like shooting fish in a barrel. Everything I bought rose rapidly.

Then in November, everything changed. All my gains reversed on the market pull back. A few stock selections really didn't help eg. paypal, novo, oracle and I learnt a lot about position sizing and unit methodology as a result!

Note:

I don't invest in meme stocks.

I don't generally include MAG7 stocks as I have a separate portfolio fund which invests heavily in them.

I don't trade, but will tweak (buy the dip etc)

Since November, my US stock portfolio value has chopped around and is slightly below where I first started.

So my headline question is really querying if the majority are going through similar for the last 6 months or so in their US portfolios?? Or should I go back to ETFs and save myself a lot of effort and stress,🤪
